Compassion First at the Crossroads helps those who struggle for a variety of reasons to provide clothing, household items, furniture, and appliances for themselves.  The ministry seeks to show the love of Christ for all people by helping those who struggle to meet their material needs thereby drawing the unsaved to Jesus and encouraging believers to deepen their faith. We are a Christian, faith based ministry, comprised solely of volunteers. We began in 1995, but the seeds for Compassion First were planted long before we all came together.

CompassionFirst helps meet material needs by collecting and then distributing the following types of items on an on-going and continuing basis:

 

• Clothing including shoes and work boots

• Household items including:

  • Kitchen ware

  • Kitchen, bed and bath linens

  • Home décor

  • Household maintenance and repair items

• Furniture

• Personal use and personal care items

• Baby care

• Toys

 

In addition to direct giving from the homeless to the small business owner, CompassionFirst provides donated items to other ministries who, in turn, help those who are struggling.  It also offers limited services including picking up, transporting, and delivering donations.​
